The Steering Team is Tim Linnemann, Vivian Little and Pastor Fecher. The team’s job is to “keep the main thing the main thing.” They meet weekly for scripture study, prayer, discernment and visioning. They are the keepers of institutional memory and they use it as a kind of “best practices” in decision making.
Tim lives in Issaquah with his spouse, Jocelyn, and sons, Luke & Ira. He teaches philosophy at Bellevue College. He loves board games, music, anime, and, of course, talking philosophy.
Vivian and her spouse, Jeff, live sometimes in Bellingham, sometimes in Mexico. She is a former ballerina, and co-owner of Dance Fremont. She now calls herself a re-fired (not retired) dancer. She continues to teach dance and she finds many ways to serve her community, both in the US and Mexico. Her children and grandchildren live in the Seattle area, so when she visits them we get to see her face to face at Gift of Grace.
Kari has been with Gift of Grace since 2001. She preaches about every six weeks. She is a dedicated and active participant at all congregational educational and worship events. She is constantly offering her talents behind the scenes as she scopes out what needs to be done and then does it.
Marisa came in March of 2022 from Vermont to be our permaculture farmer. She comes with 20 years of farming experience, ten of those years teaching at “The Mountain School”, an active farm boarding school for high schoolers. She is our expert on edible and medicinal plants. She trained as a Somatic Experiencing therapist and is interesting in helping heal those who suffer from trauma.
